7. I could care less about Monday Night Football...

...or the NFL for that matter. As a hockey fan I find football boring as hell. But I'm really looking forward to the premier of the Rachel Maddow Show tonight on MSNBC. Wouldn't miss it even if it were the opening night of the NHL season (which fortunately it is not).

13. I had NFL season tickets for 13 years...

...and used to be an avid football fan. Gave it all up in 1994 when the greedy dirtbag team owners were holding cities hostage for new stadiums by threating to move teams. I have never looked back and have certainly never regretted my choice.

Besides, football is a near religion in the reactionary, red state South while hockey has much the same status in the much more liberal nation of Canada. On this one I'm siding our more enlightened neighbors to the north.

...Just kidding on that last one. The Vikings and Packers are playing tonight and I see you're a Green Bay fan. I can understand your excitement. Enjoy the game.
