Sarah Palin's Pastor of Wassilla Church to speak out ..Coming Up on CNN...
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 04:32 PM by KoKo01
If you can't catch it...I'll try to get back and post what I hear...Heads Up for those in EST...though to listen Live!

What I saw and heard this paster couldn't even find a way to be believable like Rev. Jeremiah Wright was when he explained who he was back during the "Obama Pastor" flap.

This guy sounds like he can't wait for the "End Times" when everyone flocks to Alaska and eats up all it's "Natural Resources" because he's all about "Enterprise and Greed" while we wait for the "Second Coming."

The report was good! Go over to CNN and see if you can find it. I have no complaints with what CNN did and they have a "teaser that" more is coming if you just "stay tuned to CNN for the next two hours."

CNN pretty much got what we've been reporting here at DU and elsewhere on the Web that this woman comes from a Church that is pretty freaky and how much does Sarah believe of this. All we need is a photo of her "speaking in tongues" and Reverend Wright will come off like Howard Zinn in the minds of many who might have had problems with him on the Left.

Just reporting what my own "biased mind" saw...But, it's a start in pressing the Mainstream Media to go after Palin for her Church in the Agressive way they went after Obama.

1. They speak in tongues. This is as crazy a group that there is.
Pure bullshit that they claim is only understood by god.

The whole "speaking in tongues" thing was a symbolic event. Whether it happened historically or not is not as relevant as the meaning it carries. The way I was taught that particular event was that Tongues of Fire descended on the Apostles of Christ as a symbol of the Spirit filling them with the grace to spread the teachings. They spoke to the crowds of people gathered in the area who were from all over the known world, and each individual in the crowd heard the words the Apostles were saying in their own language. Basically, it was a dual miracle granting the Apostles license to continue the teaching of Christ, and opening the ears of the "world" at that time, to the new message of redemption. Kind of like a reverse of the Tower of Babel with Christ's love being the new medium of communication.

There is nothing about the Apostles speaking gibberish that only God could comprehend. And churches who want to spread a Dominionist message at the end of a sward are definitely not following in the footsteps of Christ. Hypocrisy abounds.

2. The talking head is prefacing her church as ex-church
as of 3 weeks ago when an anti Jewish group spoke there, she was still attending. What's the matter Sarah, are you ashamed of your religion now? What do you think god would think of that? There was another famous denier once, I remember, I read something about it in the bible.

3. Wasilla Assembly of God
what we believe

Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God
These are nonnegotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. This list is derived from the official Statement of Fundamental Truths.

WE BELIEVE...The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.

WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.

WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

WE BELIEVE...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through Salvation (accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin). <1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G>
WE BELIEVE...and practice two ordinances (1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.

WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. <1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G>

WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is Speaking in Tongues, as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.

WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.

WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers the Church.

WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). <1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G>

WE BELIEVE...in The Blessed Hope. When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. <1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G>

WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. At that time many in the nation of Israel will recognize and accept Him as the Messiah, the Savior who died for them and all mankind.

WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.

WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'

5. I'll repeat what I've been saying the past few days - it's not about the
speaking in tongues stuff and the like, it's about their THEOCRATIC mindset.
Of the four churches she is currently or recently affiliated with, at least 2 or 3 of them have ties to some very extreme groups that want to infiltrate all institutions of society and implement theocratic Christian rule.
THis includes groups that propose violence, such as Joel's Army.

PLEASE, see this post for links:

7. I was surprised that CNN would touch this...but remember Rev. Wright got Hours
and Hours of MSM Coverage to trash him.

Keep up the HEAT ON CNN/MSNBC to keep going after Palin for her "Pastor" who is saying all of us Americans need to "flock up to Alaska so we can be there when the "End Times Come!"

OMG.... :eyes:

9. ...just think of all that Obama went through with his Pastor...shouldn't Palin be held to same ?
Why does her very RW "End Times Advocating Pastor" get the break that Obama's Pastor didn't?

Wasn't it almost TWO WEEKS that Obama was subjected to McCorporate Media hounding both him and his former Pastor, Reverend Wright about what Obama & Michelle listened to in Sermons on Chicago's "MEAN STREETS?"

Sarah Pallin's Pastor is just a "strict constructionis, believer in "End Times" and clone of the "speaking with tongues" Onward Christian Soldiers ..crowd.

What's to like about a doctrinaire Christian who will enforce HER PERSONAL BELIEFS...on both YOU and I and our DAUGHTERS/SONS and all who follow as they "GIVE AWAY OUR GOVERNMENT!"

It's ALWAYS...ALL...ABOUT SARAH! in the end...she's her own boss and only anserable to HERSELF. It's what Repugs ARE..and what THEY DO!
