16. I think so, too.
Just by chiming in on what is good and bad behavior they are, in fact, always pushing a political agenda.

And it sure isn't mine.

17. I could say so much about the Church industry, you would not believe it
Yes, INDUSTRY. Church INDUSTRY.

I know, I worked for a trade publication targetting church leaders.

I know so much about this INDUSTRY, I could entertain you all night.

9. "Political"? Yes. "Partisan"? No.
When I think of Ebeneezer Baptist Church or even TUCC, I think advocacy of social policy is warranted.

19. Well, one person got it right
Is serving one another in love "political"? Feeding the hungry? Clothing the naked? Housing the homeless? There are a lot of folks who would consider that "political," and our little congregation provides the space for the day center for an agency that helps homelss families get back into housing. Lose that exemption!

Fookin' brilliant. This is know-nothingism at its worst.

10. Done
RoveCo has used the wackogelical pulpits for years to herd votes into the GOP column in absolute defiance of the Establishment Clause. If they want to politic, let them reincorporate, but not as churches.

I don't want government messing about in my religion (or lack thereof) just as much as I don't want religion messing about in my government. If Palin has her way, we'll all be forced to take up serpents. I really don't like snakes, whether they wear lipstick or not.
