Biden: Palin Would Be 'Backward Step for Women'
Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) says that if Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) becomes the first female vice president it will be a "backward step for women."

Asked by a local television reporter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin if electing Palin would be a step forward for women, Biden said, "well look, I think the issue is what does Sarah Palin think? What does she believe?"

"I assume she thinks and agrees with the same policies that George Bush and John McCain think," Biden added. "And that's obviously a backward step for women."

2. There he goes again....
This is NOT helpful....
Exactly why he shouldn't have been picked.

The point is that McCain will be a big step backward.

Let's all keep our eyes on the ball - McCain/Bush is the key.

Palin is a media/Rove invention meant as a decoy to make the dems look like sexist bullies in cohoots w/ the media.

4. It amazes me that a woman can be so anti woman
Maybe I'm just a different type of man, but it is just amazing that any woman would be so anti equal rights for women. Makes no sense at all. Maybe it's my simple male mind. Or maybe it's not. Do these people belong to a cult of some sort? Besides the republican party I mean.

8. I think in her case, it's the same sense of
difference between her and other women that seems to inhabit Phyllis Schlaffly's mind. Women ought to stay home and out of the workforce... except me. Women shouldn't have choices that *I* wouldn't make concerning their bodies... Women should be able to easily juggle childcare and work, after all I've arranged my government job to suit my family's schedule...

It's being entirely out of touch with the rest of the female universe, I think. And thinking that you are just several steps above the great unwashed.

7. I'd like to see Bill Cliton come out swinging against her.
I think he can dispel the lies.

9. I'd like to see Hillary come out swinging against her
Hillary could persuade many undecided women voters who may have supported her in the beginning. And Hillary is very good at going on the offensive when it's needed.
