I am fired up right now and want to sign up on obama's site to host a voter reg event... this is just too important to leave to chance.

There are three places that are active for Obama in the Carson Valley - but none here at the lake. i live in CA, but I have the chance here to make things happen in NV as well...which could be cool, because I think it is leaning toward Obama anyway. Though NV has traditionally been a red state.

SO, I was gonna call my friend the MGR at the local grocery, and maybe set up a table in front of the place for a day or so.

Can I wear my obama t shirt...or is that biased?

Do I have to be a NV resident to do this on the NV side of the lake?
cuz i could set up camp in front of the Safeway there as well...

I would love some guidance from you guys, cuz i am a TOTAL rookie! ;)

1. Remain unpartisan, check w your state SOS as to forms/requirements and check
with the location that you will situate yourself.

We carry clip boards with a giant REGISTER TO VOTE HERE on the back, then folks know what your intentions are when you approach them

Also make sure you return those forms to a BOE in a timely manner.

They probably already have something underway that you can add to. In CA: http://www.cadem.org/site/c.jrLZK2PyHmF/b.979009/apps/ka/ct/contactus.asp for info on volunteering activities.

In my experience, they will be DELIGHTED to have your help.

added: Notice that the second item on their list is Help Register Democratic Voters
