Emotions du jour
It is a wall to wall retrospective today. Replaying the coverage of 9/11. As if we have somehow forgotten.

I am angry about that. Is it self-congratulatory? Wallowing in self-pity? A massive "BOO!" to the nation? An infomercial for McPalin?

What it isn't is healthy.

I am feeling renewed anger every time I see that Simian Son Of A Bitch Motherfucker's face and hear his stupid fucking voice. I don't blame him from 9/11's initial happening. I blame him for EVERYTHING that happened after the first plane strike. The Hitlerian way in which they insidiously took over the country. They're right about this: Everything changed.

I so deeply saddened at reliving the events of that day. The loss of life. The terror that caused people to consider a jump of 106 stories a better option than staying to die; this one thought simply overwhelms my capacity for empathy. I really could have done without again being forced to consider it.

I am sad at the hearing of the company name, Kantor Fitzgerald. The face and voice of their CEO is still clear in my mind.

The fireman and the cops and the EMTs. The criminal mishandling in the years before that day by NYC's mayor. Are the radios there ***yet***?

I get really angry thinking of NYC's mayor doing his cock-of-the-walk in the hours and days that followed, his governor following him like a puppy, his thuggish police commissioner looking for all the world like a latter day Nazi. I am appalled that he asked to declared mayor again, by fiat.

I am made to think how awful we as a country have acted since that day.

I am saddened to consider how much good will we had that day and how we have not only squandered it all, but managed to turn it into pure hatred for us.

Many more thoughts.

But mostly I feel anger. Not at the terrorists so much as my OWN FUCKING GOVERNMENT in the persons of CheneyBush. I am feeling that they are the worst, most evil leaders of all history. I know there are many who are demonstrably worse. But they are the ones I had to live with. And to me, they ***are*** the worst.

And bin Laden?

He's subhuman. May he rot on hell.
