I was just watching a movie today that was dealing with this same subject. "Primary Colors" it's called, starring John Travolta (back when he was in good movies) as a Clinton-esque candidate. In the end it says that mudslinging always wins out over clean politics no matter how idealistic the candidate. Even if Obama was some sort of Messiah, there's no way everyone in his base who run his campaign would follow his passive attitude. There's always going to be a "Peter" among the Disciples who will reach for the sword. Point is, if you want more mudslinging don't worry, it will eventually come.
And just wait until the days leading up to Nov. 4th, which is when many people in this country finally decide who their voting for, depending on the economy at the time. If we convince them it's bad on Nov. 3rd then were golden. But if McCain-Palin can convince America that it's getting better and Obama-Biden will only reverse the progress then we're in Shitville. Those last few crucial days are when we REALLY need to step up the dissing.
