Sirens are going off.

15. Nope. We were told to hunker down, so we're hunkering.
No rain yet, but winds are picking up fast. Gonna be a long night, but I'll be home (I hope!) when it's over.

11. No not yet
Nearest cell is moving away from us.

But a funnel cloud was just sighted right by our old house.

13. I am fine
Lifelong resident. We know to listen to sirens. And the ones in my hood are silent. But we can hear the ones about 5 miles from here.

News just said F1 tornados. Not bad.

Glad you like me. I like you too. :hi:

17. Stay safe
I was just in KC last week. My boyfriend and I were there visiting his hometown. I was visiting for the first time. I really liked it, but tornadoes..... I don't think I could ever get used to them.

19. And I couldn't deal with earthquakes
At least we get a warning when a tornado is coming.

22. That's actually exactly what my BF said
He finds the idea of an Earthquake terrifying, and I have exactly the opposite reaction (earthquakes are a surprising nuisance, but tornadoes are the bad ones).

20. I prefer no warning, to sitting and waiting...
but that's just me. I lived in LA and now split time between OK and Mexico...tornado season always makes me a nervous wreck.

Good luck up there. From what my hubby says, Oklahoma has been getting a ton of rain with more on the way.
