2. When you have no honor, no scruples, no empathy; when you can claim to be a "Good
Christian" even after breaking most or even all The Commandments, then and only then will you be allowed into the inter sanctum, from which the Conservative candidates for higher office are picked.

7. I have a question about one of the Commandments...
Does "thou shalt not kill" count as a broken commandment if the other side shoots you down and captures you before you get a chance to do it?

8. McCain killed many Vietnamese civilians on earlier missions before he was shot down.
He like it so much, he broke a rule by circling back after he bombed, to get a look at the destruction he'd caused, and it was on that second flyby that he got shot down. He admitted to that in his book. Also, the reason he broke arms and legs was that he didn't keep his arms and legs tucked in when he ejected his pilot seat from the plane, as pilots were instructed to do.

10. He dropped napalm on babies.
He thinks his greatest moral failure is the failure of his first marriage.

McCain: "My greatest moral failing — and I have been a very imperfect person — is the failure of my first marriage. It’s my greatest moral failure."

5. They made McCain look far too young in that strip
Good sentiment, but McCain is not that young and vital.

6. I don't think that is supposed to be McCain.
I'm not sure who it is supposed to be, but you're right, it doesn't look much like Gramps.

11. Hitchcock or Gaslight
I refer to the Republican strategy as trying to make me feel like I'm in a Hitchcock film realizing what they are doing with their mindgames while so many people refusing to see or just don't see them for what the Republicans are all about. There is no convincing them that they are voting against their best interests. The second film Gaslight had the husband lying to his wife and trying to make her believe that what she really was seeing wasn't happening at all. I always feel that they try to "gaslight" us. They lie with such ease, staring us in the face, when some of us at least know it's all lies. Yet they hope they convince us we're wrong and they are right.
