babylonsister has checked in!
I gave her my phone number yesterday with instructions to call when/if she had a phone line. She & Mr. babylonsister are okay. They had an awful night, but are in one piece this morning. They have no power, trees are down, part of her fence is down, but other than that, the house is okay. Some of her neighbors lost their roofs & parts of them are in her yard, though. :( She said she has to learn to cook now & they are going to see if it's safe to get their gas stove up & running again.

15. I'm waiting to hear from people on the coast
who finally left, thank goodness. I imagine it will be several days before they see what's left of their homes and check in.

So far, it doesn't look nearly as bad as it could have been, with places soggy but largely intact.

Thank you for this post.

Please let her know to call me if she needs anything, she has my number. I know what she is going through and I may have some answers to help her deal with the days ahead of her.

She should be able to use her gas stove - oh, I'm so glad she is alright and didn't suffer more damage than she did.
