David Gregory of MSNBC and Karl Rove are good friends.
Bobbie Kennedy, Jr. just said on his radio show, "The Ring of Fire". (It's from the RNC Convention but the first time I heard it.) He said that the reason KO and Tweety were demoted from their anchor positions and the power that goes with the position is because Jeff Zucker of NBC won't have it. The reason David Gregory was given the anchor position to cover the elections and Keith and Tweety were demoted was because NBC's Zucker is behind McCain. Both Tom Brokow and Brian Williams also got to their positions because of their ties to the Republican Party. I was going to watch MSNBC to get analysis from Rachel and Keith, but not now. So who is going to boycott their coverage? I know I am. It's C-Span for me.

3. I'm listening to it on the radio right now.
Here's the link to the website. http://airamerica.com/ringoffire/

I'm sure they will have a transcript or podcast up eventually.

Gregory could always be counted on to lob one up for LittleMan.

When he used to sit and ask questions sometimes that was ok but I have not liked him at all in his new position because appears to me he favors Republicans. How can this be outed publicly? Can it at all?

8. I quit watching MSNBC during the Dem. Convention. The only time
I watch it now is when KO and Rachel Maddow shows are on.

9. So Stretch and Turd Blossom are more than just bad dance partners.
No shock there.

I'll be watching election coverage on C-Span. I'll continue to tune in to GE TV for Countdown and The Rachel Maddow Show, and occasionally Hardball, but that's about it. I never watch GE TV during the day. I broke my daytime habit last March.

12. Speaking of dance partners,
this showing how the politicians compromise media figures by becoming their pals has a brief clip of the Gregory/Rove ballet duo at the press corps dinner.

26. Ah, our corporate presstitutes at their finest.
I'd heard about McCane's infamous BBQ's, but hadn't seen any footage. :puke: Thanks! That Meghan is really something. Could she be any more empty-headed? Johnny Mac has a Paris Hilton/Britney Spears wannabee right under his nose!

10. Well, Tweety has been a Mc5PLANES shill for a few years & recruited SCABROW
Before he got a tingle up his leg, he was hot hot HOT for Mc5PLANES. How many of those "Hardball college bowls" did he do with Mc5PLANES?

& I remember when SCABROW was just a gleam in his eye, when Tweety told him, "You'd be great" on MSRNC.

11. Where will David Gregory be when he has to pay the piper (PHOTO)
Gregory (left) dances with the pig man (Rove) at the
Radio Television Correspondent's Assoc. Dinner:

I'm interested to see how fast Gregory will abandon ship once the pig man is shackled and brought to justice.

Brian Lamb aired that horrible Jerome Corsi's book segment FOUR TIMES in 24 hours.

14. So is PBS for that matter, but at least C-Span just lets the camera do the work
most of the time. It's the most unbiased outlet I can think of right now. I hope there will be other coverage that pops by the time of the election that attempts to be unbiased.

18. We need to support Link and Free Speech TV
and people brave enough to take on independent projects.

Friday, that horrible Steve let one of his friends go on for minutes about abstinence only education.

The camera covering Congress is one thing. But, they frame it with WJ and their endless BookTv segments that are straight from the propaganda mills. :(

coverage, we can only support them when Amy Goodman and "Democracy Now!" is on the air.

15. NBC
is positively worried about the Republicans and not insulting them. But to turn off the only two people on cable news that give another view, besides the neo-fundies, is cutting off your nose to spite your face. I'm all for noses and MSNBC's Countdown and Maddow.

17. Me too and I will continue to tune in KO and Rachel but they will
not be covering the elections as far as I know except during their designated show hours. It was announced that David Gregory will be the anchor who covers the elections on MSNBC so I don't need to give him the ratings frankly. I am a Neilsen family.

they don't look too friendly here:

Doesn't prove anything either way I guess - but I trust RFK Jr. and tend to believe whatever he'd say... I hope its not true.

I still only watch Keith and Rachel anyway - still haven't warmed up to Tweety.

He was so adamant about what he said in that opening segment that he kept talking over Mike Papantonio who was trying to argue with him. I'm sure there will be a transcript up or some further expansion of what he said on their blog http://goleft.tv/.

22. Excerpt from an email I sent Gregory last week:

What has happened to you? Seriously. You are not the same guy that asked some semi-difficult questions at the WH press conferences. I know you've since become Karl Rove's dance partner but I thought maybe that was just one drunken night, apparently you didn't wake up embarrassed by that as anyone with compassion and a conscience would be considering all the illegal activity he's involved in.

33. Some one please tell me how we have a chance? Even if Obama wins, the complete public media
will be against him and us. Also, with Comcast's unlimited resources they will eventually succeed in shutting down the free internet.

So tell me something positive, I need it.
