I Just Looked At Zogby's New Polls
Edited on Sat Sep-13-08 04:28 PM by dtotire
None of them look too good. He has McCain outpolling Obama in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. I don't know what's going on. However, he has Obama ahead in North Carolina.

4. Funny how that works, eh? The Negative Nellies
rushing to pour on the bad news. Low post counts, disabled profile, no star (usually).

28. Discounting my low post count...
It is funny how they come out of the woodwork with bullshit polling long before the debates...

12. I get why you posted that, in general, but I have a question....
What's the big deal about profiles? I've seen that mentioned a lot. I don't have a profile and don't want to post one, or so I was told by someone who disagreed with me some months back. I have been here for years, donate when I can, and am left of left. Why would my (or anyone else) not having a profile mean anything?

I'm not asking this to fight. I just really want to know why profiles are such a big deal here. Anybody can write anything in a profile, so what does it prove one way or the other?

There's a reason why McLame won't let The Snow Queen speak unrestrained in public.

If people got to know how dumb his running mate is it would be all over.

Pay no attention to the polls. They aren't worth the bullshit they're made of.

16. You've got to consider polling methodology
as most if not all of these polls are based on landline calls. Millions of new voters have registered Democratic and I'd say a good portion of them only use mobile phones. It's my belief that the voices of new, younger voters are not reflected in any of these polls.

31. Michigan, at least, was based on an online poll ... and I was one of the ones polled.
No "landlines" and no "calls" ... online. If anything, that would oversample younger voters ... or the "young at heart" like me.

34. I get polled by Zogby via email approx every 3 weeks. I had one this morning
when I got up in fact; that map reflects info gathered for the prior week.

click on the individual states in which they actually state what they see trending etc. Several red states have the disclaimer "calling it red for now"..those same states could be back in 'too close to call' next week or week after.

I agree that they are missing a huge part of the demographic on the mobile phone thing.. the only new and young voters they are getting are those that might have been polled by internet.

I honestly do not know how I got on their Epolls, but I have been receiving them for some time now. I always always answer them .

Edited on Sat Sep-13-08 05:07 PM by robcon
Zogby will be way, way off the actual vote - the furthest of any pollster.

How does he stay in business. He was 23 points off in the 2008 California Democratic primary... had Obama ahead by 10%, when Clinton won by 13%!!!!

Don't believe a word of what Zogby tells us.

22. This would only confirm to me...
...that Zogby isn't to be taken seriously as a pollster.

(And I don't simply mean that because he has Obama behind in several key places. The fact that he puts Obama up in North Carolina, where every other poll taken this week has shown a McCain lead of between 4% and 20%, suggests that little Zogby says can be taken without a grain of salt the size of Gibraltar.)

33. CNN/Time/Newsweek poll: Obama leads New Hampshire 51-45, outside MOE
A CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corp. poll of 899 registered voters in New Hampshire released Wednesday showed Obama leading McCain, 51 to 45 percent. The poll was conducted from Sept. 7 through 9, and the sampling error is plus or minus 3.5 percent.
