I doubt 40 percent of those living on Crystal Beach actually stayed but . . .
. . . I don't doubt that 40 percent of those who were placed under the mandatory evacuation order did stay.

This is probably the source of the confusion. And that of course allows those of us who tend to see the hand of Bushco in everything (and it IS in most things) to speculate that 40 percent stayed in the Bolivar area or on Crystal Beach, and that their deaths are being covered up by the very connected Rick Perry.

1. One thing that struck me as odd
the mayor of Galveston has ordered the press out basically. She pulled a "Palin" and said only her and the City Planner will speak to the press. The odd part? She's a Democrat. http://www.galvnews.com/story.lasso?ewcd=f7ca46e6d82f0709

5. She was being stalked by Perry and by Skeletor.
Did you see her at their briefings over the weekend? They were tag teaming her physically.

6. I don't see a problem for wanting all the releases to come from one source
As long as that source is into the truthiness. The problem I see is that it seems like they are trying to withhold information.

2. There is no reasonable basis to have confidence in the corporate media
or in the government. No reason to trust and right now, no way to verify. No wonder people are trying to come up with stories that make sense.

banning the press good for anyone.

4. It's Bush SOP and it's terrible for us.
And in allowing the government to curtail their movement and their content, the media is ceding their (and our) First Amendment rights.
