Does Obama still have the youth voters still excited?
I hope so.. I am getting up there in my age and I don't know how they "youngin's" are excited about or has he lost some of the excitement?.. just wondering :)
4. The young people I've talked to aren't "excited" they are determined - dam good kids
Really, I have been talking to a number of my son's friends, people primarily in their 20's and what I hear from them is clear headed thinking and determination to rid their country of the trash at the top of Government. They know full well its their future at stake and they intend to vote in a way to do something about it - which is to say a lot of people of coming of political age and making what I expect will be a lifelong commitment to the populist ideas of the Democratic Party as opposed to the corporatist bent the Republicans represent. They "get it".
It is us young people that put Obama over the top in the primaries and we are gonna put him over the top come November. The dogma that "young people can't be relied upon to vote" was a result of Generation X being in the 20-something age bracket; Well now there is a NEW GENERATION in town and were are going to rip that "dogma" to shreds and send PRESIDENT OBAMA to the White House!
