Matthews brought up a good point.

McCain is not our President. Obama is not our President. Where is our President?

My guess is that he is finishing his 10th scotch right about now.

4. I've been wondering that myself.
After saying that the economy was fundamentally sound the other day, and having AIG blow up in his face, I doubt we'll ever hear from him again!

That's when he will verbally tell us all to fuck off.

He's been doing with his actions ever since he took office.

11. Dimson never expresses an opinion on a matter
...that can't be spun to his advantage. And there's no way he can acknowledge how bad this is when he's the Chump in Chief who keeps insisting the fundamentals of the economy are sound.

19. That cartoon is full of win.
Shrub has been acting like a lame duck since the 2006 midterms.

I'm not shocked in the slightest that he hasn't come out of hiding to say anything further on the economy.
He knows it's not his responsibility anymore, he can just sit back and drink and watch porn all day if he wants.

Clearly Shrub subscribes to the Douglas Adams concept of SEPs: Someone Else's Problem.

22. Crisis, what fucking crisis?
What do you mean “failure”? Your perspective is from the bottom looking up. The financial model has been a great success from the vantage point of the top of the economic pyramid looking down. The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10 percent now own 85 percent of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90 percent been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy. From their point of view, their power has exceeded that of any time in which economic statistics have been kept. -Michael Hudson
