Let's go! Let's have a DU editorial page hoedown! Anyone got one to match mine! Post your letters in this thread and lets get some DU fervor rolling! Who's with me?

As we go into this election season I have noticed that Republicans seem to be trying to distance themselves from their own party. No R's on their yard signs. No acknowledgment by the McCain pundits on TV of how they voted for and with George W. Bush. Where is the party of ownership and courage now? They are not there. Just as Bush wasn't there before and during 9/11, Katrina, and now the stock market crash. But he was "praying real hard". Ha! The party of so called responsibility and courage isn't responsible or brave at all. Where is their leader when you need him. Oh yeah he's busy behind the scenes giving corporate welfare bailouts to his buddies as their companies fail due to Republican deregulation policies. This election cycle the Republicans are "running" even though they would never admit it. They are "running" from their record all the while professing to promoting change. Paradoxically to true republicanism, government has actually expanded under them. Crime, unemployment, and daily living costs are way up. Gas prices are through the roof. Bin Laden is still relaxing in his cave. States rights and civil liberties have been reduced. Yet they are calling themselves the party of change. That's a misnomer if ever there was one. They are the party of dogma and status quo and religious fundamentalism and their chickens are coming home to roost. Personally I'm tired of a bunch of rich spoiled frat boys running the country into the ground while claiming they are strong on defense. I don't see it. I see weakness. I see bomb first ask questions later. I see a lack of brains. I see them attempting to preserve their own interests and failing at even that. I see religious hypocrisy and I see intolerance of others lifestyles and views. I see manipulation of the media and propaganda. Can you say Faux news? I see things that are frankly un- American. I expect Georgia will still vote republican this cycle but for it's own sake I hope it wakes up. When voters push that lever they should remind themselves under which parties watch this mess occurred. The party is called the Republican Party and everyone who voted them in you are welcome to it. Remind yourself of that when you are putting that $4 a gallon gas in your trucks and cars. Christopher Harrison

1. It would be much easier to read if there were some paragraphs.

who call themselves our government, and those idiots who support the lies that have lead us to where we stand today. Pockets empty.

Your statement is good, but do separate it with some paragraphs. Easier to grasp the meaning of what you write.
Anyone else care to vent?

The US Supreme Court, Who Chose George Bush in 2000, Also Owns This Disastrous State of Our Nation

Stacked in favor of the GOP, they denied the vote of the people. They chose a President for us based on cronyism and without forthought as to who was the better steward of this land, its people, and its future.

Now that all Bush cronies have pilfered every crumb from every corner and cupboard of our US Treasury possible, after Bush's 'base' has been well rewarded for their association and all finacially set for life via the American taxpayers, they will all slither quietly away, their portfolios of millions well protected in foreign banks, and hand this disaster back to the American people.

The Supreme Court should be investigated as to which of them, also profitted by their choice and their arrogance in believing it was their right to choose our President rather than the right of the American Citizens.

Cronyism from the top down, from our governing branch, to the multimillion dollar payouts of collapsed corporate entities.
Trust that they are all connected & with one common goal.

Blaze
