1. Bad shit happens out there, shadow...

He was just a kid in the company of Senior soldiers.

There was not a damned thing he could have done to stop what happened. It's impossible to imagine what a situation is like without having been there.

I know that you understand how these kids can be, how they feel.

And I am glad that he was able to plead out, so he can help hang the guys that planned it. Because this wasn't the heat of battle, it was premeditated murder.

And thank you for calling me on it Tom. Make no mistake, I know that the blame for creating some of these killers and the accomplices lays squarely on George Bush's shoulders. May he burn in some hell someday for it. I honestly didn't mean it as a blanket condemnation of our soldiers, I hope you know that, but I met enough kids while driving cab who were killers before they ever slung an army rifle and that is the fault of GW lowering our military's standards.
