Ike update: Executive 'power' When did CEO David McClanahan's lights come back?
We reported yesterday that CenterPoint Energy's head man lost power to his house about the time millions of others did when Hurricane Ike brought big winds in the wee hours Saturday. A lot of readers asked the question we couldn't immediately answer:

When did CEO David McClanahan's lights come back?

CenterPoint says McClanahan's power was restored Sunday night, when crews started working at the level of circuits, which serve 1,000 customers or more.

A story in today's paper also noted that CenterPoint's senior vice president of electric operations, Kenny Mercado, didn't have power at home Wednesday. That was true as the story was completed Wednesday evening, but he has since joined the ranks of the restored.

Gotta take care of the little folks.
