Where are all the MCCAIN bumper stickers???
Here in the Phoenix metro area, I have yet to see one vehicle with a McCain bumper sticker, only Obama's as on my own vehicle. And this is in his own state??? Where are they???? any one know??? have they been abducted by aliens??? Maybe his supporters are too ashamed to be seen in public???

2. Rove's behind this
If they make McCain out to be the underdog, then he'll get sympathy because Americans always root for the underdog. They can also paint Obama as elitist because of his support that way.

19. Yes. What we are seeing is the result of Rove's mastermind,
plus techniques gathered from marketing and and the military Psy Ops... The same Psy Ops department led by Douglas Feith who got caught redhanded planting stories on CNN.

4. ditto
I was thinking the same thing tonight. I mostly get around by bicycle so I avoid busy streets, but I have yet to see my first McCain bumper sticker. I have seen two McCain yard signs (both were McCain only so I am guessing they were obtained prior to the convention.

7. I saw one in Los Altos a week ago.
The car was an 80's sedan, burgundy, dented, w/ an American flag (tattered) on the antennae. The guy in the car was older than McSame.

10. I have seen three so far in Florida, there are just as many
"Terri was murdered" stickers as there are stickers for McCain. Unfortunately, Obama stickers are scarce too. I think people are worried about road rage. I have my Obama car magnet, I have only been flipped off once and that may have been because the asshole did not like me observing the speed limit when his truck drivin' stupid redneck ass was in a hurry.

12. What I see most around Orange County, CA...
...are anti-Obama stickers, not pro-McCain ones. I guess even the most unrepentant "greed is good" Hummer lover can't bring him/herself to support Geritol John, so they resort to hating on the other guy instead.

32. Wow, I live there too, and I haven't seen those. I have seen a few Obama stickers though. :)
The only McCain stickers I've seen are near wealthy beach communities. This was before Palin, too. I'll have to keep my eye out for the stupid anti-Obama stickers.

...on the other side are anti-Obama ones. It's like he's running against himself. My latest sighting was just today: a Porsche 911 at South Coast Plaza with a big red "Nobama" sticker on it. The owner is lucky I respect German engineering.

14. Maybe they're waiting for the Palin stickers
I've heard that they are STILL waiting for the stickers with Palin's name on them to be delivered to local republican offices.

I've also heard, via a conservative board that I frequent, that people are afraid of displaying Republican stuff because they're afraid that liberals will vandalize their car/house.

15. Central Valley CA
Heavily Republican. I saw one McCain sticker on a car that had a SARAH! sticker. I did not know she had her own sticker. I think I need to get a BIDEN! sticker to balance it out.

I also say one on a truck in Vallejo.

That's 2 - after putting on over 1000 miles driving up and down I-5 over the past month.

17. North Dallas
Drove far north Texas to Dallas east of Mesquite 2 days ago.

I saw 1 Obama sticker and NO McHoover stickers. This is a place that you used to see lots of old Bush stickers still but haven't lately.

On other news, far north Dallas suburb just got their Repub. office. Isn't that kind of late?

23. Arlington, TX
I've seen maybe 5 or 6 McCain stickers. Maybe 20+ Obama stickers. Of course, a slew of W04 stickers -- which amazes and depresses me....

Bumper stickers aren't a very good barometer for the political mood, I think. There is no great enthusiasm out there for John McCain, but the Republican horde will rise and vote for him anyway as the anti-Obama drumbeat thumps on and on.

22. I saw a few today.
Worse, I saw Hoogendyk signs over in the Detroit area. Anyone voting for him has gone round the bend with him. That guy's entirely nuts. Insane. Needs to be evaluated kind of crazy.

I saw more Obama stickers, though, and way more Obama yard signs. I'd get one, but someone in my neighborhood keeps stealing all of my signs.

26. Live in AZ too. I saw ONE this week... First one I ever saw... EVER!
I see several Obama stickers everyday, some negative, most positive.

I saw only ONE McCain sticker this week and that was the first one I ever say.

It looks like crap. And the lady had it way below her license plate, close to the road, as if she put it on to please someone and she can't wait for November 5 to take it out.

Arizonans do not like McCain either.

28. Wow, it didn't occur to me until I read your post's title....
That I haven't seen hardly ANY McCain stickers around my area. Oh, and I live in Cobb County, Georgia! I'll grant that I'm in the less rabidly Republican enclave here but still, I used to see W, Bush, etc. stickers all the time during the 2000 and 2004 elections... I don't recall seeing a McCain sticker or sign in the last few months.

34. I saw two today. One on one of those monster pickup, extended cab ambominations
and the other on an Escalade.

They are black (or maybe very dark navy blue) oval stickers with a white "McCain08" on them. Not very big and very inconspicuous.
