How do other states handle the approval of local taxes?

How do other states handle the approval of local taxes?

It seems the Democratically controlled State Supreme Court has given the green light to our mafia organized-style local governments to raise money without asking for approval from the public:

Remember that Florida Supreme Court ruling last year that told local governments to scrap a time-honored way they have bonded out big development projects? The one that threw Orlando's venue backers into a tailspin?

Well in case you did, nevermind.

Today, the Supreme Court reversed its previous order and basically clearing the way for local governments to continue using tax-increment financing without public votes to finance large developments. Read it here: Download sc06-1894.pdf

Make no mistake. If these power players in local government have the power to get their hands on this kind of financing, they have the power to influence every other aspect of your family's life.
