4. I'll give him his due on Palin

It is refreshing to see someone righteously INDIGNANT and OUTRAGED at the fact of her candidacy. He is downright APPALLED, as we all are, but to see someone on a talking head show actually unleash our collective anger over her, is very welcome - although "farce" barely scratches the surface as a description. Still, he and Maher are the most honest assessors of Palin I have seen yet on a broadcast.

7. He was absolutely right - her appointment

by McCain should have immediately disqualified both of them for running for dogcatcher, much less the offices of the Presidency or Vice Presidency.

It is effing unbelievable that such a "farce" could have even occurred. How could anyone in this country, media, legislature, common man think for even one moment that this woman is a serious choice? The whole damn Republican side of this farce of a campaign should be declared forfeit for stupidity.

Appalling is right.

5. It was a stunning reminder of how we should

all be thinking. This country was created to guarantee freedoms and we have let them take them away, slowly, inexorably, by our lack of attention or laziness, or greed.

Andrew said the founding fathers would have said "Kill me now but don't take away my freedom". What a colossal bunch of wimps have we turned out to be.
