Howard Dean To Young Voters: It's Your Time, Don't Blow It Dean was the headliner at a voter registration rally hosted by College Democrats at Temple University. A crowd of a couple hundred heard the former Vermont governor and former presidential candidate call for young people to lead the way in taking the White House from the G.O.P.
"We need real change in this country, and young people aren't afraid of change," said Dean.
He urged this college crowd to get involved-- knock on doors, make phone calls and- most important of all- get out and vote.
"You are a great generation," Dean told the crowd, "It is your time. Don't blow it."

Dean's appearance at Temple generated lots of enthusiasm- and later- in a one-on-one interview, he told me he's confident the feeling will last.
"These folks aren't staying home," he told me. "They know it's their time- their generation. That the torch is being passed, as Jack Kennedy said to the new generation."
Any fears that they'll stay home?
"No," said Dean. "None."
