This morning, I told a dear friend of mine my opinion on the financial "mess".
It is too FUBAR to be fixed.

The money does not exist.

"Creating" the money out of thin air creates only another nightmare.

Call me a gloom and doomer.

The whole thing has to collapse before it can be rebuilt.

We're fucked.

1. You might go to Alaska...I hear they have a secessionist movement there
As soon as the net tax dollars go out rather than in as earmarks, Alaska's membership in the Union will be history.

2. Quick question from someone economically stupid..
How will this affect loans and grants for college students? One of my biggest fears is not being able to finish my degree (still have 2 more years of undergrad to go).

3. Loans will be harder to get and at a higher interest rate when they can be found.
Grants will be dim memories of the good old days.

5. Starting NOW. Continuing for at least 4 years. IMO, but what do I know?
