this financial cataclysm has me overwrought
i went to mybarackobama.com and left a message after reading his "economy/taxes" issue page. after what i've been reading and watching today it sounded just like so many hollow truisms. the message i left:

this seems to be dated. it's now 9-21-08 and henry paulson is asking for 700 billion dollars with zero oversight. and congress appears to be in a big hurry to accommodate him. NO. there must be oversight. MUST BE. and to hell with just letting the people who have brought our country to this pass walk away multi-millionaires while the average taxpayer gets totally screwed. let them pay and make them pay. paulson says that limiting executive compensation would be "punitive" - i certainly hope so! when i screw up i pay. let them pay. it's beyond ridiculous. as a citizen of this once great nation i feel like a pawn and a slave to cyborgs i don't even know, whose only concern is their power and their obscene wealth. NO MORE.

i think barack should update this page and also come out strong and active, an active participant in what is going on in DC trying to fix the mess the greedmeisters put us in, and that he should under no circumstances whatsoever agree to give one person a blank check backed up by the sweat of 300 million americans who have no say. this just sucks all the way around.

tomorrow, i'll be calling and emailing. but after reading that barack is all for turning this bill around inside a week (the sky is falling the sky is falling), and that he is going to florida to study up for the debates instead of staying in DC to represent the people in this mess, i really kind of feel like just turning my back on it all. i'm seriously bummed out.

3. Same here. This bailout has made me very angry...
...And I've been on drugs to manage my Repuke-provoked anger, so it's the first time in a while.

But drugs ain't strong enough to shut me up on this one. A $750 billion WELFARE CHECK for the rich when the poor can't even spend a food stamp without getting am dirty look? Like hell!

5. there just isn't enough xanax
to manage this fury.

OH there it is! the new bubble! buy xanax now, cuz you know the whole country will be on it soon enough. Fahrenheit 451, here we come!

there's my doorbell now- must be Paulson with my drip to shut me up. Must go.

(sarcasm)

Budwiser, but sadder.
