8. Regarding Social Security tax

I could be understanding this wrong, but isn't there a cap to benefits? If that's so, then perhaps the reason that the tax stops after $102,000 in income is because you can't get anymore benefits? I don't think people should have to pay more in taxes for social security benefits when the benefits won't go up!

I'm a Michael Moore fan, but I don't agree on this point at all.

10. Kill the cap AND means-test it, I say.

Then extend SS to everyone as a guaranteed minimum income.

That would be truly progressive. Too progressive for stomachs on the left, in fact.
