Still anti war, still for truth and free expression.

He got an honorary emmy tonight and I thought I would cry.

edited because mom liked him best.

3. *coughs*
It was Tommy.

I spent this afternoon watching some of the DVDs. Amazing stuff, and it's still subversive - especially for its snark-free idealism.

7. Laura Linney was also brilliant, she thanked the "community organizers ...
that helped form our country". She won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie
for "John Adams".

Besides John Adams, here are some more community organizers ...

11. I have a personal story about Tommy Smothers
When I was 10 (and that was a few decades ago), he and his family were dining in a Rochester, NY restaurant and my father goaded me into going to introduce myself. I had see the Smothers Brothers but I was pretty young. I don't remember the whole conversation but he was polite and sweet and when I asked him to dance, he turned me down by saying he saw me dance with my father and he would just feel like he had two left feet. I know now that he really didn't want to dance with some guys kid but he never made me feel the least bit embarrassed and I've watched him ever since. He is a man of great honor who treat animals and children with dignity and kindness,
