And, to top the whole sad and sorry saga off - I know damn well this 'election' is going to be stolen, six ways to Sunday. The pundits and GOPedophiles will assert that 'racism' was indeed a factor at the polls in the swing states that were 'close.' The GOP owned and operated media is already sowing the seeds for that argument, utilizing bogus poll results.

Quite simply, Obama is not leading by enough points to preclude a third GOP coup d'etat.

Moreover: Does anyone *actually think* that Sarah Palin's Reichwing handlers are going to let McInsane run the show? McMoron will be forced to step down ('due to health reasons') shortly after *taking* office.

We have a longer list of grievances against King George than the Colonists had against King George III in 1776. I mean, the Intolerable Acts can't hold a candle to Blackwater, Halliburton, KBR, Exxon Mobil, Monsanto, and Henry Paulson.

Anyway, start READING.
It is TIME. It is WELL PAST time.

1. I've had enough of the doom and gloom bullshit
and the handwringers who just whine and whine and whine, and never actually do anything or propose any solutions (oh, except asking us to read the rantings on some crank website).

Please just go away.

2. I don't think it's "doom and gloom bullshit". I think
CLG_News is right. I don't see any handwringing or whining in his post, just a prediction. And i would bet that he's right.

3. If you don't realize the extent of the problem, you are the problem.
O Great Wise One.

:eyes:

And why would anyone trust someone so dense that they can't figure out the goddamn obvious? You have no solutions. You have nothing. I love people that posture as if they have fucking solutions. What's your big plop of wisdom? Go campaign for Obama some more? Don't address the fact that a poll that sudden says "Obama can't win white people" has been up now for two days? Think positive? Have faith? Try to elect local Democrats? Recycle? Write our Right Wing Congressperson? Run for office ourselves? What pearls of wisdom do you have from the trenches?

The DLC are revealing themselves for who they are: Bush Supporters. There is either (a) major problems or (b) major manipulate. If you think there is neither, you might be an idiot.

Why don't you go away? Oh wait! I can make you go away! Bye. Ignore.

5. You are just one of the people that likes being miserable
You and the OP don't ACTUALLY want anything to change at all because then you can't be miserable and use this board to whine and complain. If anything changed at all then you wouldn't be able to get on your high horse and tell us all how much smarter and more insightful you are than the rest of us little minions (i.e. the other 305 million Americans that don't read this website).

7. bluestateguy - sure you're not actually redstateguy?
BTW, I've worked fighting this regime for *eight years* -- and I've done far more than 'whining.'
A $700B bailout means it's time for more than 'petitioning,' which is just not going to *do* anything.

4. I've been fed up since 1965...
the year I started college and found out it was all a crock of shit. Then I eventually got drafted and found out how deep that crock was. I had a button that said "The Great Society-- Bombs Bullets, Bullshit"

Damn, If it wasn't for Viet Nam, Johnson would have been one of our greatest Presidents-- he had it down and knew how to beat the crap out of Republicans and Dixiecrats. Amazing how the tides of history flow, eh?

Speaking of history, 15,000 years of it and how much of that was the good times of progress, prosperity and peace? Not much was it?

Considering the general misery the species has lived in for most of that time and in most places, we're doing sort of OK now. Not great, but pretty good, and we're spoiled rotten-- the bitchings and moanings are not without cause, but a lot of people who actually lived under Hitler and Stalin aren't bitching so much, nor are people who scraped by for 50 cents a day in the 30s and are now retired in nice houses with pensions, Social Security and Medicare.

(Gas costs too much, rich people are too rich, and a few votes might get stolen-- the end run of civilization as we know it, or just whining?)

6. thank you for some perspective
i'm worn out by the doom and gloom and i think obama's going to win and things will be hard but not impossible. i'm on the "nothing to lose" end of the spectrum anyway, but i want to be able to care for my family in peace.
