This crisis could have been averted early on.
A lot of people saw the mortgage crisis coming. Even after the first wave of foreclosures professionals kept saying the dates for the next wave and then the next wave after that. Using common sense, did they really believe that everyone could be kicked out of their home and none of the banks would be effected?

If * had really cared about America he could have gone ahead and ordered that all mortgages would be for a year or two and then go back to review them after that. At least the people could have still afforded their houses, still have a place to call home. Banks still would have been paid, admittedly not as much but they would still get money and not go out of business.

When economists were predicting wave after wave of foreclosures I was screaming at the radio, and TV, that * needed to freeze mortgage rates to avert a crisis. Now look at how much money (and so much more) it is costing this nation. With a responsible, forward looking government this could have been averted.
