3. I'm having trouble..
...when I try to sign in to the online banking page I get a "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" message.

Hitting refresh etc does nothing.

8. Just tried. No luck
I got the homepage but the process died when I tried to log in.

I swung by the ATM to pick up a little cash just a couple of hours ago though. No problems there.

This does illustrate why I hold multiple accounts with multiple banks. My local CU website is working fine.

20. I can. Just did. It might be that their server is overloaded
due to the announcement about Merrill Lynch.

It's certainly not a 'sky is falling' moment.

17. BOA not on my list of banks to deal with since
they failed to pay my house insurance out of my escrow account, just before Camile came through Georgia. Cost me $32,000 out of pocket in repair plus more expensive insurance. If you have a home loan with BOA, you need to verify you are insured.

Lots of people saying cards are being eaten...
Some customer service saying system upgrades...That's rediculous...in the middle
of the day!!...Cyber attack...don't know, but this isn't normal...
Are we being taught a lesson? Or just scared to death...?

21. I guess that's one way to prevent a run on the banks...
just shut it all down. I really hope you're wrong too. I was going to go stock up on dry goods...I haven't been able to afford groceries for weeks, and today was payday. If my card gets rejected at the grocery store, things are going to get real interesting.

Just spoke to daughter who is out and about in DC today. She said that she has not been able to get cash from 4 separate BofA ATMs today, but can use card for purchases at stores/restaurants. Card was not eaten by the machines, but the ATM said that account data was unavailable.

but the balances do not reflect week end activities. one business account, one personal. branch office not answering.

31. Not the first time this has happened.
BofA had a system failure a few years back that took their website offline for an entire day. They didn't have sufficient redundancy in the system, and announced a big plan to redesign their systems to incorporate the latest "five nines" availabitity standards right afterwards.

Then, of course, they outsourced the whole shebang to India, so who knows WHAT kind of infrastructure they're dealing with now.
