1. It's rather ironic that a Fox-owned channel is showing "V for Vendetta".....
..... since the BTN network in the movie is modeled after Faux News.

4. Thank you ! I've never seen this and my best friend raves about it.. watching now ! Especially
fitting, since I've freaked myself out reading this board tonight, about Troops at Home, Operation Garden Plot and Rex 84 !

6. Very cool, Ghost. This movie rocks! My DH, who is not outwardly
political, loves it.

7. Coincidence that they are showing it now?
Who owns the FX network?

8. Probably my favorite movie ever.
And it's not even a musical. Well, not *entirely*.

10. Fron what I've heard...
...the movie is more attuned to the current state of things than the graphic novel was. Then again, V was written during the Thatcher era in England, which explains the parallels that do exist, as well as the discrepancies.

I also have a V mask sitting around in here somewhere. I bought it to show my solidarity with... certain persons, nameless here forevermore.

12. I love that fucking movie...
On the surface, it's Rambo for anarchists and socialists, but it has some much deeper political and philosophical implications.
