Local Freeper REALLY hates the local Peace Movement.

Some of you may have read my posts about Raoul Deming, the local Freeper who has been trying to connect a recent bomb placement to the local Peace Movement in the comments section of the local newspaper's website. Well, the head of said Peace Movement had the nerve to critcize Thomas Sowell in a LTTE. Raoul hits back in the comments section with the usual "Liberals are the REAL racists" stuff. Enjoy!

More than 30 years ago, I was privileged to take law school classes from a great law professor and legal pioneer who happened to be African-American. He has served as a mentor and friend for my entire professional life.
I'll never forget his mentioning a "real crackpot" African-American economist who "makes many of us so ashamed."
He then proceeded to tear apart his "crazy" views point by point, adding that he had absolutely no credibility in the African-American community. The "crackpot's" name: Thomas Sowell, your columnist.
While I'm on the subject of Daily Local News columnists, why do you feature Linda Chavez so prominently every Saturday in your paper? No other columnist gets a two-column spread. I have asked this question repeatedly, but I never get a credible answer.

The drooling Freeper's response. Note his disdain for name calling, when most of his diatribes are based around calling people "Commies":

It would be a great integrity check on Karen Porter's integrity to see if Thomas Sowell was widely published back during the "more than 30 years ago" when the fact is he did not begin his career as a newspaper columnist until 1984.

I consider this an excellent example of the unspoken, unaddressed racism rampant in white liberal circles. A minority that doesn't toe the liberal doctrine is an ungrateful traitor who must be destroyed.

How would someone Porter smears as "real crackpot", "crazy", and a "crackpot" manage to graduate magna cum laude from Harvard University (1958), after receiving his master's in economics from Columbia University (1959) and a doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago (1968)?

Nice to know that Karen Porter and her unnamed, perhaps invisible, African American friend speak for all black people when assuring us that Sowell has "absolutely no credibility in the African-American community". Or is she once again using her "Elitist White Liberal Privilege" to tell black people what they should think?

Note that Porter claims Sowell's views are easily disputed, but substitutes name calling for facts in support of her smear.

The part that Sowell "makes many of us so ashamed" is typical exploitation of liberal self-loathing and submission to the group over one's own belief system. Everyone else believes it, why don't you? You don't want to be the nail they sticks up and gets hammered.

All Porter really offers to back up the claim of "no credibility" and "many are ashamed" is the opinion of one African American about another African American.

Porter asks why Sowell and Chavez are published, I ask who thought it was a good idea to put her on the Daily Local's community advisory board? Why do they keep her unless the DLN is hoping to entice a merger with Pravda?

the cops are called. We see them circling around. They give us a hard time if there's a new guy who's a particular asshole. Mostly they just know they were called for no reason as we demonstrate peacefully and legally.

Counter-protester Raoul Deming of Philadelphia shouted through a bullhorn such slogans as “Commie traitors” and “Commie baby-killers,” and — apparently addressing one young female protester in particular — “Take off your top for peace!” She didn’t oblige.
