SURELY China could help us with the bailout, and consolidate our loans into one, easy to pay monthly installment?

They make all our stuff there, they loan us money all the time, I know they got the money, and they know we're good for it, so what's the harm?

1. What I want to know is. . .
what would happen if we took our $700,000,000,000.00 and told Wall Street to pound sand, and instead we invested that money in education, roads and bridges, and perhaps some health care.

If the CEOs are worth $17,000 per hour then they must be talented enough to be "self sufficient" or whatever buzz word the rightists use. Right? They don't need a bail out.

In the meantime wouldn't we get more bang for our buck investing in ourselves and our future?

What's the harm, and who needs the muckity mucks? <spits>

5. That's a new "New Deal"...
I think it's a great solution, the anti-Wall Street solution, but you know that the powers that be would be screaming "Socialism" from the tree tops.

2. We're going to have to borrow the money from them anyway
We're certainly not raising taxes or cutting spending enough to cover it, and we have to pay for everything in the budget somehow. Any deficit must be borrowed and paid off later.

Rumor has it that we're selling out Taiwan to them. Literally.

3. It would take an act of Congress, literally
We are already pushing the debt ceiling as it is.
