Get yer Obama/Biden yard signs here!:
NOT!

Is anyone else having trouble getting yard signs? I ordered stuff more than a month ago (from the Obama website, and also from democraticstuff.com). The local Obama HQ has been out of everything for several weeks. I know plenty of people who want signs; I know people who have ordered signs, but I do not know ANYONE who actually has one. Is this a regional problem?

Yes- I know that making them by hand is a solution (and an environmentally friendly one, at that)- but not all of us are artistically abled. Also- the hand-made approach suggests desperation.

1. We contacted a Dem-friendly printer
and had some made up locally. It's another option.

3. Isn't it a good thing that the campaign doesn't have enough
for everyone that is asking?

Wouldn't that imply that there are a lot more Obama supporters that want stickers, signs and buttons than they had on hand?

10. Yep, demand outstripping supply.

Now that's a FREE MARKET I can believe in. :P

Though, seriously, I'm a bit disgruntled with the online Obama Store.
I placed an order for a couple t-shirts, two rally signs and some car magnets back on August 8. The magnets showed up about two weeks after I ordered them, but no word on the shirts or signs. The order page just said "Processing". Two weeks after I got the magnets (now into September), still nothing, so I sent an e-mail inquiring about the status of the order.

I just got an e-mail yesterday, almost three weeks from the original e-mail send date, saying most of the shirts and rally signs are on backorder and they don't know when they're going to have more in stock.

At this rate, I'll be lucky if I see the signs and shirts before Nov. 4th. Local campaign HQ has almost nothing. As of Monday, all they had were some stickers and a bunch of shirts in SMALL ONLY.

I've already resolved the lack of signage by exercising Photoshop and my color printer to make window signs, but it's starting to look like if I want to get anything to wear to promote Obama, I'm going to have to go through some other site like DemStuff or even CafePress...

4. I ordered them on August 6th
And I got them within a week or so. However, my Missouri Obama shirt is still on back order and they don't respond to emails. Six weeks and counting for a shirt is ridiculous. They need to do something about their suppliers.

7. Maybe they are having problems keeping stuff in stock.
I donated to get a Obama/Biden car magnet quite a while ago and got an email the other day saying it was still on backorder and it should be out the beginning of October.

8. I had one like that until it was stolen 5 days later. Then I made my own on a 4' by 4'
piece of plywood. Bolted to a fence post.

12. Is it possible that they're filling orders going to Swing States
First? I'm just guessing that if you're in FL, OH, CO, MN, etc.. you might get one a bit quicker... not sure.

I'm in Omaha.. and we could give B.O. one electoral vote.. i'm hoping mine gets here soon!

13. I think the county organizations or CDs have to get involved
that's what happened locally. The Obama campaign got them through the local democratic party. Now we have some and I picked mine up last night. I know a guy who sells at farmer's markets and has covered his costs completely doing this for months. That's in VA 11th. In VA 8th the Congressman contacted a local supplier and they have signs with three names on them President, Senate and Congressman.

14. Local Dem State Rep told us that the Obama campaign was putting its money into
television ads instead of lawn signs, at least in PA. Even the local committee could not get signs.
