Palin and Couric....full transcript
Palin and Couric

Full transcript after the jump. This is a rough bit:

COURIC: But he's been in Congress for 26 years. He's been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more.

PALIN: He's also known as the maverick though. Taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he's been talking about--the need to reform government.

COURIC: I'm just going to ask you one more time, not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation?

PALIN: I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you.

2. oOOooh I see now "the Maverick". Well that answers for EVERYTHING
Katie Couric! why would you keep asking questions. Didn't you hear? HE'S THE MAVERICK

Who is the tall dark stranger there?
Maverick is the name.
Riding the trail to who knows where
Luck is his companion
Gamblin' is his game.

Smooth as a handle on a gun
Maverick is the name.
Wild as a wind in Oregon
Blowin' up a canyon
Easier to tame.

Riverboat ring your bell!
Fare-the-well Annabelle!
Luck is the lady that he loves the best!

Nachetz to New Orleans
Livin' on jacks and queens
Maverick is the legend of the West.

Riverboat ring your bell
Fare-the-well Annabelle!
Luck is the lady that he loves the best!

Natchez to New Orleans
Livin' on jacks and queens
Maverick is the legend of the West.

6. The word has absolutely no meaning in modern context other than a TV show
Seriously, the only context the word has for us moderns is the title and title character in a 1960's television show. Other than that I believe the correct meaning of the word (noun) is a cow which constantly gets lost or that can not control its urge to roam around aimlessly.

4. Sounds sexist
for Couric to be merciless on Sarah Palin like that. Asking for specific examples of McCain's reform measures? Maverick-ness?

Goes to show how in the tank they all are for Obama.

Damn liberal sexist media.

:sarcasm:

7. Hah I see you read the comments as well
How mean of Katie to ask someone to back their statements up with fact. Of course it's true! A puke said it so it must be true! Mission accomplished :eyes:

5. I'm surprised by that much...
...Happened to flip by CBS last night and caught a couple minutes of Couric asking Obama and McCain what their favorite movies were and asking what their favorite scenes from each film were.

Judging by that, I was expecting Couric and Palin to spend the time talking about "Brady Bunch" episodes or their favorite Bible verses.

9. WTF kind of sentence is this?
Palin: "And I would hope that's the case because, as John McCain has been saying, and as I've been on a more local level been on a much more local level been also rallying against is the undue influence of lobbyists in public policy decisions being made."

:wtf:

11. Everyone is on to their bullshit....
the endless lies. That was obviously no Biden interview, Mooseilini is dumb as a rock; If I was her, I would not want to debate Amtrak Joe.

"I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you." If we translate this, it says that "I do not know what the hell I am talking about." McInsane has done nothing but push for more deregulation, not more. All you have to do is look up his voting record.

"Taking shot from the OTHER party", that would be Democratic, thanks.
