My wild idea. Let Palin sub for Mccain in the Friday debate.
She can step right in, she can do back to back debates this week and next. Since she skips all the reporters, what a great time to make it up.

After all, she has foreign policy experience now after visiting NYC, so she could sub for mccain in the debate. And this weeks debate is about foreign policy so she's "ready."

kick and reccommend ;)

1. Palin doesn't belong on the same stage as a bona fide candidate for the Presidency
Sure she's a know-nothing but she shouldn't get a chance for a photo-op that says she is in the same league.

6. Well, we can also have this. A 1 1/2 hour interview of Obama. Would that work?
But the show must go on, my OP is tongue in cheek, but the bottom line is that mccain doesn't dictate over the entire 2008 campaign and bully the debate commission.

4. Letterman said that last night.
If McCain can't show (for whatever reason) then why can't his VP stand in for him? Dave gave him hell last night.

8. Cancel VP debate...?
This whole thing appears to be engineered to create an opportunity to cancel the VP debate, because Palin just isn't ever going to be ready to debate Biden. So we cancel Friday's debate, then suggest that it be moved to Thursday in place of the VP debate, thereby removing Sarah Failin from having to do so. Guaranteed, that debate between the VP candidates is looking like it isn't going to happen.

Hide Sarah ... no one should talk to her or ask her any questions ... especially after how poorly she did with katie C.

9. On a serious note. There is no real reason why the friday debate shouldn't happen...
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 07:53 AM by deacon
...even more crazy is why the biden/palin debate shouldn't happen. No excuses at all. Why and for what?

This joker mccain delivers one swindle after another. He couldn't handle a hurricane (gustav) and the convention at the same time. He couldn't handle a vp pick (palin, the biggest flip flop of his campaign), and now he can't handle a debate without throwing up all the papers from his desk to create some havoc and just deal with a presidential campaingn.

The straight talk express needs some serious straight talk. Do your duty, debate and talk to reporters like obama and biden do and everyone else before them. Stop being a chicken and stop the disgraceful stunts is my opinion.

Edited to change: "should" to "shouldn't"

11. Only if McCain officially gives her the top spot on the ticket.
Then it would be a fine idea.

13. how silly. Obama should NOT put Palin on equal footing with him by
appearing on the same stage with her.
