At least McCombover has the flimsy excuse of being in the Senate, never mind that, as was pointed out earlier, he doesn't sit on any committee directly involved in the Bush Bailout -- and a good thing, too: can you imagine Sen. McCain (R-Keating Five) on the banking committee?!

edit: But how, exactly, is the governor of Alaska involved in all this? Are they planning to use the ANWR oil as collateral or something? :shrug:
