"Merit Pay..Merit Pay!".. that's the mantra of righties about teachers & public servants

and they LOVE to be able to FIRE PEOPLE at will, canceling their benefits...yet

These same people were in power from 1995 to 2007, and did NOT see any need for a similar "plan" for CEOs..even though CEOs have been gouging companies since the 80's..

To them, it's almost a badge of honor when THEIR CEO makes more than YOUR CEO..

These are the same CEOs who brag about making "their" company "mean & lean"....translation.. they FIRE people, sell off parts of the company, outsource the production, and sometimes liquidate the companies they claim to "love", and move on to the "next one"..

Often these same CEOs "pick the wrong door", and tank the company, but since they have inside information, they "take theirs" before the actual demise, leaving the smelly carcass of a company for others to "deal with"..

In real life, if your business plan stinks, you go bankrupt and the BOSS (you) LOSES their investment, their livelihood, and the security they thought their family had.

It's a generational destroyer..kids don't get braces, kids don't get college, wives don't get mammograms, homes (often leveraged for the business) are lost.

If a CEO MERITS those big wages, by IMPROVING the company for the workers, the community, and the customers, AND still makes money, he/she DESERVES a hefty paycheck, but if not, they deserve to be fired, and forfeit any and all "extras"..


Only in CEO World, do you get to play with other-people's-money, gamble to your heart's content, tank the company, and walk away with the Grand Prize..
