Northern Trust Corp. (NTRS:Northern Trust Corporation EHMQ 0.30, -0.03, -9.0%) bankruptcy and the subprime mess, the New York Post reported on its Web site Saturday. In a conference call with clients Friday, a Northern Trust official said cash used as collateral in its security-lending business was invested in funds tied to Lehman debt, which may now be worthless

2. Now, here's a coincidence...

Last week, I had the flu, and so had to miss out on an impressionism exhibit at Seattle Art Museum that I had really wanted to see.

The main corporate sponsor of the museum? Washington Mutual.

The main corporate sponsor of the exhibit? Northern Trust.
