1. I agree. Our repug Rep. Cathy McMorris (GOP Leadership) sent out an email setting up 'No' vote.

3. They would if they were in the majority
and having to own the consequences of doing nothing, as Dems are now.

This is the peril of being the majority party, and I'll take it over the alternative. Can you imagine how much more subversive the Repuke version would be?

7. Yep, this is a 'freebie' for them.
They know it will pass.
So they can smugly vote against it.
That will look good in their districts when they run for reelection.

10. Exactly, and Repubs are already playing the
"Who, me? Dems could pass this already if they wanted to" card.

5. It's okay with me because I want every word debated until they
come up with a real solution.

Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 04:09 PM by SoCalDem
then run back to their districts and spin it as a democRAT bail out for the Wall street elites:(..and we'll lose some congressional races that we might have won..

This whole mess is Georgie's (maybe) final F-YOU to us all..and a devious monkey-wrench into an election that should have been a "gimme" for us..

This could have/should have waited...until there was an AUDIT done of these companies and their finances..

If they cannot handle an audit, we have NO business giving them money,,

8. Shows the EXQUISITE control moneyed interests have over the Democratic Leadership...
They can now let Democrats lead the charge and hold their Republican shock troops in reserve.

*shoots bullets at Democrats feet* Dance, Dance...
