It meticulously explores the history of the neighborhood, the construction of the towers and their history as a part of New York, and then unflinchingly reviews the events of 9-11 in vivid and painful detail.
And I was SO grateful that this film showed the horror of that day, and the heroism of the responders, but did not show POS Bush when he shamelessly climbed atop the pile of corpses at the WTC and immediately started to exploit the tragedy for his own demented political aims. In fact, Bush's moronic face and filthy, dishonest words were nowhere in this video. (THANK YOU).
But after watching it, and thinking about the last seven years, it seems perfectly clear to me that not only did Bin Laden win, he won BIG. He got exactly what he must have wanted.
Instead of showing decency and true leadership in the aftermath of 9-11, POS Bush fearmongered and shamelessly exploited and lied, lied, lied over and over again. Trampling our freedoms and abusing his power, and starting completely unnecessary wars that are a large part of what is bankrupting our nation today.
And now, seven years later, there is STILL nothing but a damn hole in the ground in lower Manhattan, our economy is in a freefall that nobody seems equipped to stop, and we are still failing to unite as citizens and turn this worthless government out on its ear.
I never imagined I would see this country sink to this level of depravity, cowardice, profligacy and apathy.
Congratulations, Osama, things couldn't have gone better for you if Bush had been totally in cahoots with you.
