McPalin's audience in Ohio today
Lots of sweatshirts that read "Capital University"

From the Capital University website:

General Facts

* Main campus located in Bexley, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus
* The oldest university in Central Ohio
* Founded in 1830 by the Lutheran Church
* Currently affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)
* One of the oldest and largest Lutheran-affiliated universities in North America
* Educational mission based on Lutheran values of:
o Free inquiry
o Critical thinking
o Leadership

Dig deeper at a Lutheran-affiliated school that provides opportunities to explore yourself and your faith, from chapel and Gospel Choir to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

************

The sweatshirts were in evidence in the crowd behind McPalin as they spoke. That's a fact. The rest of this post is based on my own quick 'net search and my own assumptions and biases.

Is this Ohio's Regent University?

1. I've never even heard of it.
And I've lived in Ohio for 25 years of my 34-year-old life.

2. I was waiting for her to break out in cheerleader cadence:
... arm movements and all ... the way she was delivering her talking points towards the end of the 'speech' ...

"WE.
ARe HERe.
To work for you.
Gimme a G
Gimme an O
Gimme a P
Yaaaay Team!"

4. I too noticed lots of Capital University sweatshirts in today's event
I would have no idea why a McLiar/Falin rally would have been held there at Capital University. I frankly was surprised to see the Capital sweatshirts in the background and don't think that it has much to do with anything. I can remember another political happening, a debate, that was held at the University of Richmond when Clinton was running. For us to assume that all those young people support the republican ticket would be questionable as the young seem to caught onto the Campaign for Change. I am from Ohio and Capital is located in a very wealthy suburb of Columbus actually pretty much a stone's throw from The Ohio State Univ. I didn't notice that they were that excited about what was being said.
