As Usual Pelosi Gave Republicans Another Hammer Hit Democrats With

I don't support the bill. However, her partisan speech before the House gave many Republicans the excuse they needed to vote against the bill.

What better way to get Republicans onboard with a "bi-partisan" bill than to attack them during the debate on national TV!

I don't think Obama would have handled it that way.

I guess Pelosi forgot how a majority of Democrats in the House and Senate voted with Republicans for legislation that permitted this economic crisis to develop.

7. Pelosi Handed The Republicans Those Talking Points On A Silver Platter

Now was Pelosi set-up, is she just plain stupid, did she know the bill would fail and thought hammering the Republicans would insure more Republican votes against the bill? I don't know.

All I can see is that she handed the Republicans a hammer to hit Democrats with.

How do I know?

Because that's what they're fricken doing right now!

I haven't heard anyone yet say why they think Pelosi's speech was a brilliant political move.

But, I'm listening.

Anyone who thinks that now has the floor!

Let's hear from ya.

10. NANCY IS PLAIN STUPID!!! Get more flies with honey.
I hope to heck when Obama wins....he gets rid of Nancy Peloci.

They are discussing her FOOT in MOUTH statements now. They can't believe she did that. She should have waited till after the vote to shoot off her mouth.

3. Remind me to thank her.
I cannot believe how relieved I feel right now. Short-lived though it will undoubtedly be. They will find some way to ram this disaster thru.

4. Yeah sure. Those Repubs didn't vote for it just because their
feelings were hurt.

Gimme a break.

5. So Republicans feelings first ....and Country .....2nd!!

Even if Pelosi spat on them and the bill is bad they can't use her partisanship as an excuse to turn the vote.

Ridiculous!

This may improve the bill, but if we know our Republican friends they will cut the help for mortgage holders.

Sometimes stopping progress in its tracks is just what's needed to explore more options. This is Congress's opportunity to work on something that doesn't have Paulson's stamp on it.

15. And there's nothing we can do about it
I mean, gosh, calling the Republicans a bunch of whiny-ass titty babies who put their own hurt feelings above the good of the country would be just too mean or something. No way we can counter their devastating temper tantrum at all. Guess we need to just sit there and take it: Republicans' tender sensibilities must be lovingly stroked and massaged every step of the way so they can cast a vote for the good of the country. Otherwise, the country can just go to hell, because the Republicans' were miffed.

Yep, it's all Pelosi's fault it is.
