4. ...
...and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale."

Thomas Jefferson

Partial quotes annoy me so I had to add the rest of it.

8. Ha! GREAT quote! Perfect timing!
How about sending it to someone who will speak it on the floor of the House or Senate?

Two birds with one stone, too.

Banking establishments.

Standing armies.

The tyranny of "organized money" (as FDR put it).

And the tyranny of optional wars, at the will of the king.

But I fear that no one will speak it, not even the brave. How long has it been since we have heard a discussion of the evils of "standing armies"? Centuries?

As for "banking establishments," we have, of more recent vintage, FDR's word for them: "Banksters."

But Jefferson sums it all up--our entire loss of what he and the other Founders gave to us, democracy, and what the Depression generation gave to us, prosperity. We have succumbed to both forms of tyranny that he mentions in this quote, plus one he doesn't mention, and would have been appalled by: 'TRADE SECRET' vote counting, owned and controlled by private, partisan corporations.

"Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies." And both result in tyrannical power without transparent vote counting.
