Last Supper Menu Clarified
Jesus was eating EEL in the Last Supper painting, not bread or lamb, according to art historian.
The menu portrayed in Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper painting has finally been revealed. The painter actually showed Jesus and his disciples eating eel with orange slices, not bread or lamb as previously thought.

That is the opinion of art historian John Varriano, who says the eel was revealed in a 1997 restoration of the world famous painting. Varriano tells Gastronomica magazine that pairing eels and oranges was very fashionable in the 1400s.

3. I've often read that Jesus and his fellow travelers in time
ate seafood, especially sea vegetables, ie, sea weed, instead of meat.

5. I like eel! Yummy.
And I'm not surprised that an Italian ca. 1500 would include eel in a supper painting.

And I wonder if, assuming that it really is eel in the painting, DaVinci was playing a little anti-semitism by having Jesus presiding over a passover meal of eel.

17. The scales on eel
are actually part of its skin, not separate, like scales are on fish.

So, it's not kosher.

Here's a site that has a lot of information:
