Dollar Bill Jefferson in primary race this Saturday in Louisiana
He has six primary opponents in the (D) primary and is polling second in the race.

2. My pleasure teammate
Should have final results Saturday evening. His polling numbers amaze me too. He has five black male opponents and one white female. The female, a former New Orleans TV anchor, is leading the race by about two percentage points. Jefferson is second and the other five are just about tied for third.

3. It really verifies politics as the #1 spectator sport, doesn't it? Who can look away -
from stuff like this?

5. Politics in and around New Orleans
is better entertainment anything Hollywood can come up with. The frontrunner to unseat Jefferson two years ago is now in jail.

Last week, six of the candidates were interviewed on live TV (Jefferson did not show up.) One of them said that the female should take a drug test (giving life to rumors.) She got pissed huffed out of the studio, went to a hospital had a drug test (for every substance) and brought it back to the TV Station. Really good stuff.

And the street intersections will be packed with reps of all candidates handing out fliers, and Sunday Morning the political signs will trash the entire city.

7. That's delightful about the person in jail! In Rhode Island, time served in prison...
counted toward retirement/benefits of public officials.

NO KIDDING!

The law was changed only recently.

8. Wait a minute. *Moreno* is *leading*?!
Just when I think things can't possibly get any stranger in the home town... (this is the ex-TV anchor, a political neophyte who makes Moose-olini look like an elder stateswoman)

Of course, that means Candidates 3 through 6 will line up Sunday to endorse Dollar Bill, basically setting up Nagin-Landrieu II. :puke:

10. Roger that teammate
In first with 16%, Bill's got 14% then it trickles down. I never cared for her at channel six but she has been relatively impressive as a candidate. And her TV ads are quite slick, believe it or not. She's spending alot of her own money.

I don't watch channel 6, I watch channel four cause I got the hots for Lucy Bustamante and Dawn Brown and it is the former home of Hoda Kotb. How's that for picking your source of news?
