Credit where credit is due: Obama campaign says he disagrees with Pace's comments
Edited on Thu Mar-15-07 10:39 AM by DemKR
As much as I wish this came from his own mouth like it did Hillary's, I'm glad that our top 3 candidates have clarified.

According to Newsday, Senator Barack Obama gave indirect responses to repeated questioning on the same issue, saying, for instance, that traditionally the Joint Chiefs chairman comments only on military matters.

A spokesman for Mr. Obama said last night that the senator, too, disagreed with General Pace’s remarks and believed that homosexuality was not immoral.

Joe Solmonese, the president of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights organization, said he was concerned about the initial responses of both Democratic senators, and compared their comments unfavorably to the rebuke by a Republican senator, John Warner of Virginia, who said he “respectfully but strongly” disagreed that homosexuality was immoral.

“It is a problem, and we’re going to reach out to both of those campaigns Thursday and ask them to clarify their answer,” Mr. Solmonese said.

5. A blog is a blog is a blog.
Doesn't mean it correct and in this case as usual it isn't. Nice try.

4. Yes
Although, she was basically accused of being an opportunist and a hypocrite etc...Obama is not subject to that kind of criticism apparently, he is held to a different standard.

6. As far as I am concerned, the slow reaction and fiddle-farting around by both Clinton and Obama
puts "Team Democrat" in a whole new light for me. I am very disappointed in these candidates and will work to get someone else nominated...
