Did the US and France kick Hezbollah out of Lebannon?
Here's what the president said when we said no. He insisted on elections on the West Bank, when I said, and others said, and Barack Obama said, "Big mistake. Hamas will win. You'll legitimize them." What happened? Hamas won.
When we kicked -- along with France, we kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon, I said and Barack said, "Move NATO forces in there. Fill the vacuum, because if you don't know -- if you don't, Hezbollah will control it."

Now what's happened? Hezbollah is a legitimate part of the government in the country immediately to the north of Israel.

1. Biden Misspoke
He meant to say kick Syria out of Lebanon. I can understand why he made the mistake because when he was conceptualizing the thought of the Bush administration's poor policies which allow Hezbollah to be more powerful in the Lebanon he was also thinking of the kicking out of Syria. Biden answered your question when a moment later when he stated "Hezbollah is a legitimate part of the government in the country immediately to the north of Israel."

It was a minor mistake- and the overall content of Biden's thoughts show that he understands the issues and simply replaced Syria with Hezbollah.

2. You are really weird
What gives you the idea that you have ANY right to decide to "kick Hizbollah (=the Shia majority) out of Lebanon".

Take care of your own business, in a way that others don't have to feed you and fuel your car, and stop bossing around and telling others what to do. Shees.

5. OK
nice argument there tama. frankly I think the only valid criticism of Biden here might be that he (like most US politicians) is too friendly to Isreal, not that he takes a hardline stance against hezbollah.

Yet, it was Biden and Democrats and liberals who criticized the wholly disproportionate Isreali response to hezbollah that resulted in the indiscriminate bombing of Lebanon. So Biden essentially takes the logically consistent position against violence committed by both sides.

perhaps you find being logical weird.

weird.
