Update 2: I'm unpurged

I just got off the phone with the election people and I had been purged from voting. I wasn't involved with OJ or anything like that, it was my birth date. They had the 27th and it should have been the 23rd. I asked the lady if purging was supposed to be going on this late in the game and she said there have been a lot of problems. I'm in a sparsely populated county and I wonder how many others were affected.

I can't say this enough, go here and check your status: http://www.canivote.org/

1. We need a law against purging voters during the year before a federal election.
And requiring people to be phoned multiple times if they're purged in the other alternating year.

2. Eric
I think I read where there is a law but they are somehow skirting it.

7. There is such a law, and it's being violated.
Check out this article on The BRAD BLOG.

8. Thanks. The report said there is a 90 day rule which is being ignored.
We should have a one-year rule with an enforcement mechanism.

Allow personal lawsuits and criminal prosecution of anyone involved in a voter purge during the year before an election.

3. Good news!
Did the woman tell you why they were having so many problems, especially in such a sparsely populated county?

6. Good, glad to hear that was all it took. Talk to your friends/acquaintances also.
Make sure you spread the word over there.
