Did The Jeff Farias Show Get Cancelled?

I stream Nova M from KPHX and am used to hearing Farias now

But just realized I'm listening to Rachael.

Rachael in real time (I'm used to hearing her after Malloy)

I prefer her in real time as I'm sometimes asleep when she comes on

but have gotten fond of Farias too.

He's mostly a local Phoenix thing but has good guests

and a very fair open laid back style

Too bad, he worked his ass off getting that station going and now they can him? It's just a business I guess.

I would listen to his show when Rachel was pushed to do race to the white house
with David Gregory on Air America.

I hope he gets a show somewhere. He's a good guy.

that said Jeffs last show was friday , he made the choice to leave. Doesn't sound like Jeff to me but who knows.

I've gotten really fond of listening to him while preparing dinner. I sometimes forget that I'm listening to a Phoenix station when I get really busy and when I hear about a wreck or something...I have to remember why none of those streets, etc., are familiar to me, lol.

I hope that all is well with Jeff.

Adding insult to injury they are telling people I quit.
How could I quit the best job I ever had one month before this

If this holds, we lost a great voice in radio

This sounds like an Air America Radio stunt. I'm lucky I got to shake Jeff's hand last February when he and Mike and Scott Ritter did a show in Phoenix. Tall in stature and big of heart is how I'd describe him. This is a loss for Nova....and US.

My wife and I like to listen to him. I think he's great. His "theme" shows are informative and he has a real passion.

Was he on AAR or just a local KPHX guy?

AP radio news is worse that FOX or any other radio news I've heard.






And why did they fire Jeff?

...Rachel's barely even on her own show anymore, and David Bender isn't any better than Jeff. Nor is Ron Reagan Jr who now takes up the third hour of what used to be Rachel's show.

The only way that getting rid of Jeff would make sense would be if Nova M itself signed Sam Seder, and if so, it would be Jeff that had to go, because he was the only "local based" show on the air, as the rest of their daily lineup are national shows. Stephanie Miller & Thom Hartmann in the mornings, Randi at Noon, Mike Malloy at 6. Maybe they could have given Jeff the option of a late night slot after Malloy?

I don't know.... just speculating. Trying to find a reason that makes sense, and bringing Sam to Nova M is the only one I can think of.
