Poll question: 605 days ago Obama announced his candidacy for president.
Edited on Mon Oct-06-08 06:48 PM by ColbertWatcher
It's been 1 year, 7 months, 27 days (including today) since February 10, 2007 when Obama announced his candidacy.

(EDITED TO ADD)
It's been 126 days since June 3rd when all the primaries were completed and Obama won enough delegates to be the presumptive nominee.

It's been 40 days since August 28th when Obama formally accepted the nomination.
(END EDIT)

Why has the GOP finally chosen today to start slinging poo mud?

1. I'd guess fear.
Seems that drives everything they do when greed isn't the option.

3. because they are playing to their racist base
and trying to say "SCARY BLACK MAN" to undecideds. Notice how Palin talks about "palling around with terrorists" but never specifies that the so-called "terrorist" was a white American. That's because they hope that dimwitted Americans will associate him with Muslim terrorists--and to these same people Muslim=brown or black.

7. Poo works best towards the end of a campaign.
They would have loved to have done a Poo blitz in the last week, but they couldn't wait any longer as they are getting close to the point of no return.

IMO, they're trotting out the infamous 'Kitchen Stink Strategy' because it is all they have left. I predict that this 'proven strategy' will perform FOR Senator Obama exactly as it did before.

11. Republicans Do Things that are Strange, Evil, Demented, Horrifying, Gag-provoking,
unbelievable, moronic, untruthful, unlawful, idiotic, asinine, hateful, judge mental, and just downright shitty to boot. And they start and stop all these
descriptive nouns at and given time without warning. It's poo time folks and all you can do is sit back and watch it hit the fan and splash back on them.

17. The Clinton/DLC machine did it all for them in the primaries.
Now all were getting is reruns of the same Bullshit that Mark Penn and Larry Piece of Shit Johnson were spreading back in March.

Maybe this means Moosealini finally read a newspaper, but apparently not a current one. Probably found one in the bathroom on the "Straight to Hell Express"

18. So, I ask again. Why is the GOP doing it now?
If was done before, doesn't that make it an old issue? Already settled?

20. Gramps seems to be mostly AWOL these days.
Maybe somebody left Moosealini without preparation, she picked up somebody's I-POD thinking it was her Karl Rove listening device, and instead found herself listening to Sean Hannity podcasts from 6 months ago.

What else are they gonna do? They have no issues. The Repukes fucked up everything, both foreign and domestic. Nobody was buying McCrazy's "yeah, we're running AGAINST the Bush record. Honest, we're fucking MAVERICKS!!111!!!" crap anyway.
